    Solve Sustainability

Through our business, we’re actively driving change and paving the way to a more sustainable future by offering digital sustainability solutions. These include green hosting, sustainable web design,  ethical marketing and consultancy. These services help combat the internet’s impact, which creates more C02 than air travel or even the entire UK.

We’ve been proud to be B Corp certified since 2019, and our innovative agency is at the forefront of the digital sustainability movement.

As creatives, we influence businesses and make lasting changes. What we do now shapes our planet, lives and businesses for the future. Educating and inspiring other companies to choose more sustainable routes is ingrained into our business.

    Energy

Solve is passionate about continually reducing our and our client’s carbon footprint.

Our studio and operations are fully run on renewable energy and have energy usage policies.

We switched to green hosting servers and run hundreds of websites using renewable energy.

Solve is developing greener websites that reduce the impact of internet energy usage.

We are proud to be a certified Carbon Neutral Business through Gold Standard certified bodies: Gold Standard / Verified Carbon Standard. Our total carbon emission across all 3 Scopes in July 2021 – June 2022 was 20.333 tCO2e, which we have offset. Since October 2019, Solve has offset 500 tCO2e and 202 tCO2e in 2022.

Our renewable energy usage equals 1.9tC02e, which is 9.6% of our overall emissions. We have energy reduction targets of reducing usage by 5% per employee.

    Pollution and transport

Our transport equates to 45.1% of our overall emissions. We have policies to reduce impact. Some examples include:

Nansledan has been designed and built, from using local materials to encouraging local food production.

Our local community is a huge part of our company culture, from our team volunteering at the local organic orchard/wildflower meadow in St Eval or supporting local businesses through covid with business consultancy and charitable web design. Solve has been a key player in the infamous Virtual Food Festival, Climate Explorers, Padstow Lifeboat Station, Pedal for parks and countless more initiatives. For example, Solve made Sea Sanctuary for free, costing Solve £7,500. This year alone, we have recorded that we have invested over 2% of turnover in good causes.
