International Web Excellence: Solve Win Another Award! 1

This week the team at Solve were delighted to hear that we have won another award! This international award is a particularly momentous honour as it is in recognition of a flagship website we built for life-saving Cornish charity The Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust (CAAT).

The Web Excellence Awards celebrate digital web brilliance and exclusively recognise those who epitomise excellence on the internet. Our project with CAAT earned us a glittering position among the finest on the web in the “Charitable Organisation” category, validating our dedication and innovation in digital creativity. And we couldn’t be more proud!

Solve Founder Lawrence Harmer says,

“From design and development to SEO and project coordination, this project was a bold journey that involved the dedication and expertise of multiple creative minds within Solve. The CAAT website has seen a 54% increase in site traffic and a 222% increase in conversions (including donations, shop sales, and event registrations) since the new website launched (compared to pre-launch stats). It’s a real success story and we hope that even more lives will be saved as a result.”

Our primary aim in redesigning the CAAT website was to enhance website performance to attract more support and help the charity reach its full potential. The project allowed us to really flex our design and development skills and the rallying call at the start of the project that ‘this website will help save lives’ created a real buzz about where we could take it. This project was a passion for everyone involved, as we knew that by improving the site’s searchability, ease of navigation, and donation functionality, our work contributed directly to keeping the helicopter flying.

Perry Hughes, Head of Web Development at Solve, says,

“As well as creating a strikingly modern and sleek design, an element of which I’m most proud is the ‘Heli Tracker’ built within the site that shows users a LIVE status of HELi1 and if it’s currently on a mission.  Another key requirement was creating custom user journeys depending on the campaign they were running at any given time. To do this we extended the WooCommerce functionality to allow a seamless approach for these forward-thinking campaigns. The team at CAAT wanted this site to be the best Air Ambulance site in the country, and we believe we’ve achieved that”.
